Little League Game is Just What the Doctor Ordered

Out of pure frustration at the Tribe's recent dismal play, I've held off from posting. Call me a fairweather blogger, but I am miffed at this young team's inability to battle off painful losing streaks.

In better news, the Tribe takes down the Buddy and the Royals in 5 innings.......

Cliff Lee earns the win: He is 4-2 following Tribe losses. Not exactly the stopper, but a decent stat. Gerut goes 2-3 with a RBI in the loss and his final game as an Erie Warrior. A nice segue.....

Gerut traded to Cubs

Shapiro continues to stay active, trading Gerut for Jason Dubois. I'm honestly sad to see Gerut go, but Cubs fans think Dubois can be a 25 HR guy and the Tribe needs an RH power bat. The AP had this to say about Dubois: "The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder hit 31 homers last season at Triple-A Iowa. Dubois, 26, batted .239 with seven homers and 22 RBI in 52 games this season for the Cubs before being optioned to Iowa on July 8."

Garko Sizzling at Buffalo

His latest line:
TM PLAYERS AB R H RBI W K AVG
CLE Garko, R, 1B 5 1 4 0 0 0 .291

Could he be Broussard's replacement in the near future? Looks like he is ready.

A rough stat for the not-so-kardiac kids:

"The Indians are 3-34 when trailing after eight innings."
